Suggest a model or models of color fax to purchase with these
criteria: (1) good quality reproduction of hand markup of printed
documents, (2) auto feed (how many pages max?), (3) reliable, low
maintenance, & local service, (4) catridges not majorly expensive. 
Price in $300 range is okay, if way more than that would need to know
what I'm paying for.

Need available in US and also available in India.  Does not have to be
same make or model on both ends but if not then need two
recommendations.

I do not have any personal experience with color fax machines, and I
do not put too much faith in online reviews from anonymous 'customers'
of some of the online retail sites, so I cannot provide a personal
recommendation. However, I can help you find fax machines that support
color faxing, so that you can form your own opinion. The relevant
search term is "ITU-T30E", which is the color faxing standard (there
are some units that use a proprietary standard, but it's usually best
