Hi georgiegirl,

Good news. I have found a way to get you a transcript of the show you
are talking about. Let me give you the answer, then we'll talk about
how I found it :)

How I found this out for you was that I did a search for "WCVB TV
Channel 5" in Google.com
I then went to this link: http://www.thebostonchannel.com/index.html
which was the first link on the page, and the TV station that aired
that program. I then clicked on Chronicle, at the top of the page,
which is the name of the segment that aired your program. You can find
that page here: http://www.thebostonchannel.com/chronicle/
I then went to the FAQ's which are here:
http://www.thebostonchannel.com/chronicle/282820/detail.html
and read this...
"10) Do you sell copies of the show?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make videotapes for viewers.
However, we are happy to take viewers' names and numbers and notify
them in advance if we repeat a show that they would like to tape."
I got a little upset, thinking that there was no way. I then went to
thebottom of the page to try and find a link to ask them a question,
by email or phone, and I found
"21) Any other questions?
E-mail us at chronicle@TheBostonChannel.com" taken from the same page
I linked previous.

I emailed that address asking them if they could give me the name of
the program, the Doctor on the program and his location, and how to
obtain a transcript in text, since I had read they didn't do video it
seemed from their FAQ #10 or when it would be broadcasting again,
because I thought you could maybe tape it. They sent back the reply I
showed you at the beginning of this email.
I'm glad they can get you a video transcript. And I'm glad we got your
answer for you so quick.

Hello Nenna - Thank you for the information. I'd gotten to the WCBV
TV site & Chronicle but then got lost trying to find an archive list
and found it impossible to work at it while I'm here at work. I'll
carry the ball from here. I only need to double check with (my
mother) whether this is the correct program segment which she was in
fact referring to. She seemed to indicate a more recent airing (I
didn't see it) but your information indicates an Oct. '03 air date.
I'm relatively certain you've located the correct segment. So, again,
Thank you. Regards, GeorgieGirl

You're more than welcome georgiegirl. That's what we're here for.
They do reruns of their programs a lot is sounds like, so it could
have been shown more recently.

Anyway, glad I could be of help.

Dear georgiegirl,
I am working on locating some information for you about this
program. I have already found out that they do not do video
transcripts/copies of the programs, but I did send an email in asking
about a text transcript, or a possible re-airing of the show where you
could tape it yourself. I did also ask for the show's exact title and
the Dr's name. Just wanted to let you know I was working on this, and
if a reseacher other than I gets the information first, then great,
but, like I said, I did want to let you know someone was researching
it.
