I am an aspiring texture artist for the video game industry. Where can
i find a consolidated guide to current video game texture mapping
standards? For example: image sizes, color modes, file formats,
creation guidelines, etc.

I don't believe there is one standard, but check out this site for a
detailed description of some of the methods of texture mapping in
video games and how they work.
