I have aprox. 150 vin numbers for a auto that was manufactured between 1971-1974 from Ford. Is there a data base that I can access to see if these still exist? These are 11 digit serial numbers. I know for aircraft if we have the tail number or serial number we can see current info on that plane. |

Hello, ensu-ga, Try a Google search for "vin search," and also for "vehicle identification numbers." Also check out the web sites of individual state DMVs (department of motor vehicles). In general, yes, the type of service you want is available, but not for free; in addition to the various companies reselling this service, some of whom may offer a good way to get the result for all 50 states efficiently, at least some of the individual states charge for access to online VIN searches. Hope you find this helpful. |
