I am evaluating which processor is best for my needs.

What do you mean by 'better'? It's too vague to say for sure. Do you
want to know which is faster/powerful? More technologically advanced?
 Best bargain?

For doing what? Playing games? Manipulating photos? Doing scientific
analysis? Mathematical operations? Strict benchmarks? We desire more
specific criteria.

thanks!

It seems to me that it's more of a mac vs pc question then, rather
than the processors themselves. Both processors will be quite speedy
for the things you describe. Depending on the type of game, it may be
that the other hardware in the system have more to do with how "fast"
the game or browsing will be. I also think that the software used
will have a great impact, for example IE versus Netscape versus Opera.
