If the bet is which gaming system has the most titles, it is the
PlayStation 2 by a wide margin, so I hope that is the one you
selected. The sources are the official web sites of both of the
systems.
For the Microsoft Xbox, we have to go to their "Catalog" web page.

They have 16 pages of game titles, with 25 titles per page, plus one
partial page with 12 titles, which would make for 412 total. However,
17 of those titles are not yet released, so there is a total of 395
game titles available for the Xbox.
For the Sony PlayStation 2, you can use their "Gamefinder" web page.

Once at the above web page, you can click on the "Find Games" button,
which will give the first page of the list of all of their games. As
they list 20 per page and they have 35 full pages and 1 partial page
of 13, they have 713 game titles in total. But this isn't an accurate
count as 12 of those titles are "Coming Soon," so the actual total of
PlayStation 2 game titles is 701.
