Hello- My site, www.MrTreasureHunt.com was in the top 5 results for
many months for the following search words: "treasure hunts san
francisco" and "scavenger hunts san francisco" - Since early March my
site has disappeared competely from the listings without any
significant change on my part -
ALSO - the link program indicates that NO sites link to mine which is
INCORRECT - can you please give me any idea as to what happened or
what I can do to get back on Google?

Are there any pages linking to your site with a PageRank of 4 or
higher (that you are aware of)?

Was your site previously listed in Google Directory or Yahoo Directory?

I am sorry that I do not know how to check if my site has links to it
with opage rank of 4 or higher - it IS listed in the Yahoo directory
- you can search for mrtreasurehunt

one thing that is very odd is that the program Google suggests using
to see who links to your site (link:www.mrtreasruehunt.com) indicates
just ONE site linking to me (www.sfvisitor.org) - BUT if you type in
mrtreasurehunt (no spaces) into google's search box, many sites appear
as linking to me -
I hope this helps - but I am not a webmaster and have been trying
anything and everything to get re-listed in Google - I am pretty sure
their algorithm changes caused this, but I have no idea what to do to
change it.
Thanks

The basic rule of thumb is that Google only shows links from sites
with PageRank of 4 or better. They say they are showing all the links,
but clearly don't - something that causes regular confusion.

If your site has stayed the same, but your ranking has dropped, it
could be because a site with high PR used to link to yours, but now
either their PR has dropped, or the link has been removed. A link
being removed from Yahoo or Open Directories could have that effect.

Your listing in Yahoo is very recent. Is this the first time you have
paid for such a listing, or were you previously listed?

ps I'm off on vacation today, so I am unable to provide an answer for
the next few weeks...

My listing on Yahoo is recent but it seems it should be showing on
Links report but it does not - also I submitted to dmoz a month ago
and still not posted there - anything else I can be doing?
