Hello Vineyardhaven,

Please confirm if
  http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a13/ap13-S70-24767.jpg
or
  http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a13/ap13-70-H-257.jpg
illustrates the device you are looking for. The NASA public sites do
not appear to refer to the item by the number you provided and I want
to make sure we get you the information you need.

The first picture is described as "Apollo 13 Recovery Training aboard
Retriever", the second is "Apollo 13 water egress training in the Gulf
of Mexico".

In addition to these images - there appear to be several sites
describing recovery training in general as well as some specifics for
the capsules.

I am specifically looking for data and photos of the Apollo training
capsules BP1201 - BP1233, which are the "boiler plate" production
series. It is also true that Block 1 capsules were used for training
but were the next more advanced series. There were 3 types of capsules
made. See NASA link
http://history.nasa.gov/Apollo204/blocks.html for clarification. Thanks

Hello Vineyardhaven,

The only reference to BP-1201 through BP-1233 that I was able to find was:
  http://www.astronautix.com/articles/sovpsule.htm
which describes the Russian recovery of BP-1227 and refers indirectly
to -1204, -1215, and -1223.

There are a few further references to the boilerplate vehicles, but
most of those refer to small numbers (e.g., BP-12) for vehicles used
in flight tests.

If that is enough - please let me know so I can produce a proper
answer. Otherwise, I suggest you close the question.

I have that source already but it gives no data or specs or "useful"
photos. The photos you provided earlier are of Block 1 training
spacecraft not the earlier "Boiler Plate" BP series. I have written
the NASA query site but have not recieved an answer after five
days????
