I'm looking for a list of 5 major studies on hiring contractors for
medium term, technical/web projects (9mos) and what ratio of
contractors to full time people should be hired. Gartner quality
sources are required on the references.

Hi!

Do you have reason to believe that this many major studies have been
actually done on this topic?

Just my very humble opinion, but I'd be astonished if the topic was
seen as worthy of *any* major study, much less 5 of them, so was
wondering if you'd heard of such things, or were simply looking for
quality data about the topic.

Thanks!

Howdy,

Any time something seems particularly interesting or valuable
to me, it ordinarily comes up as such for others as well. I'm guessing
that IBM, SUN, CISCO, or another large technical company has a similar
need and would have conscripted the study. Now, whether or not it's
publicly available is another issue.

In any case, I'd take 1 study of good quality at this point.

Cheers,
Matthew
