Thank you so much for this information--I'm very interested in what
you've found--I'm still wondering if there is anyway to get an
estimate of how many people in the US as a whole visit aquariums.

Hello Curious360,

An estimated 30 to 35 million people visit aquariums each year in the
United States.

According to Jerry R. Schubel, president and CEO of the Aquarium of
the Pacific and member of the U.S. Scientific Steering Committee of
the Census of Marine Life, ?about 30 million people visit aquariums in
the U.S. each year.? ?These visitors represent a cross-section of the
nation?s ethnicities, incomes, education levels, and ages and already
show interest in the oceans by the fact that they are visiting an
aquarium.?

Aquariums, I have visited are at Marineland, Florida which also has
dolphen shows. Seaworld, Florida famous for Shamu and several other
sea mammal shows and the Living Sea at Epcot which is part of Disney
World, Florida. All three feature world class aquariums plus other
intertainment, so the attendees are likely simular to those at Florida
theme parks. Neil
