Can you find proof/ prove by (photos, letters, minutes, notes etc.) That the two men listed below interacted / met one another William Henry Trescot was a Charleston attorney who rose to serve as Assistant Secretary of State under Buchanan during the six months prior to secession, and was an important intermediary between the South Carolinians and President Buchanan during the early part of the Fort Sumter crisis. John C. Breckinridge (1821 - 1875) Vice President under James Buchanan March 4, 1857 until March 3, 1861 |
