Mediabricks (http://www.mediabricks.com/) and SurfKitchen (http://www.surfkitchen.com/) are both software companies targeting the mobile market, focusing on providing an environment for the delivery and management of rich content on the handset or device. Common solution features include: * Provides some content management with formatting of content for a variety of mobile devices, taking into account the different capabilities of the devices. * Allows creation of branded, rich and visually compelling user interfaces across multiple devices. * Usually distributes ?bundles? of data (e.g. a page or a set of pages consisting of multiple elements) and provides some caching of content on the mobile device (menus, next page, ...). I am looking for a list of competitors to Mediabricks and SurfKitchen in the solutions space outlined above. The competitors could be anywhere in the world, and the list should include at least company name and URL. So far, I have been able to find only: Netikos, http://www.netikos.com/eng/pro_ContentBrowser.htm I strongly suspect there are companies in the US and Asia that I am not finding, and there are probably more European players. |

It seems like Trigenix could be what you are looking for. Trigenix is an end-to-end user interface solution which manages updates to the user interface of mobile devices, thereby changing the user's experience of the mobile phone. It allows branding and customisation on a single source code base, and easy development of new user interfaces using Trigenix XML. With Trigenix, complete new UIs and selective updates can be downloaded to handsets over the air, creating an ongoing source of interest for users and opening up new revenue streams to network operators and brand owners. Trigenix can be installed over the air on open platforms such as Symbian, Windows or Java MIDP 2.0 as an extension to the existing user interface. Trigenix operates alongside the native interface and retains all the native functions. T-Mobile has implemented Trigenix in 5 European countries and are currently extending their reach and extending the richness of the user interfaces.
