Dear gallivan-ga,
There are six cities which have populations between 1 million
and 2 million people according to official census figures for 2000.
Houston city, TX 1,953,631
Philadelphia city, PA 1,517,550
Phoenix city, AZ 1,321,045
San Diego city, CA 1,223,400
Dallas city, TX 1,188,580
San Antonio city, TX 1,144,646

The 2002 July population estimate, however, takes Houston City to
2,009,834; so that means five cities - depending on your requirement
for accuracy.

We will need more cities than the six you sent me. We are going to
extend our search base to make it 750,000 to 2 1/2 million in
population.
