I need information on how Indian traditions, rituals, philosophy, music, movies and others (from India) have influenced American culture. I also need how individuals may or may not have profitted from these being infused into American culture. Two examples: deepak chopra's success and the number of yoga studios that have opened across the country, but I need more and some pretty deep analysis of each. Links to actual articles would be great. Thanks! |

Hi, From the research I conducted, India's cultural influence in the United States has and is predominantly centered in the arts: film, fashion, architecture. I correctly clicked "comment" this time. How about the influence of Indian music on American culture / music. Alka Yagnik's hit song (I forget which one) was remade into a medley as part of Moulin Rouge. |
