I want to purchase a CD with music recorded from the year 1919. The
music can be popular, jazz, classical; it must be American music. I
would be happy with poor quality recordings from Victrolas which have
been put onto CD, or more recent recordings of songs from 1919. I
am interested in purchasing this CD for a man who was born in 1919,
and giving it to him for an 85th birthday present soon.
Could you help me locate such a CD, so that I may purchase it? Thanks
so much!

Hi ottidone,

A gift of music is a gift that is always appreciated! How thoughtful of you!

I have found a few CDs with music from 1919, but many on my list have
music from the surrounding years as well. I'm betting this man would
enjoy music from the era as well as sounds from his birth year.

Thanks, markj-ga! I am not sure that he ( the birthday boy ) has a
turntable, but I'll work on sleuthing-that-out. If so, your info is
priceless!!
