where did the satellite maps that were linked to the google search engine go? It used to be that you could type in a listed phone number and get street info... with a button linking to a satellite map of the address. | |

Could the satellite photos have been aerials from TerraServer? TerraServer http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ It's not search engine linked, but is available for a stand-alone search if you have an address. TerraServer Web Services http://terraserver.microsoft.com/webservices.aspx ---larre ---l |

Mapquest used to link you to an aerial view of whatever address you entered. I noticed they stopped doing this about a year ago. Google may have returned results from mapquest and ultimately the aerial link. www.mapquest.com |
