Hi Grandma, The article in the link below has a pretty good history on wiretapping that you might find useful http://swissnet.ai.mit.edu/6805/student-papers/fall97-papers/fillingham-wiretapping.html According to this, it seems "World war I" would be the instigator to the earliest records on banning wiretapping. In addition "Olmstead incident" seems to have bring this issue to more light. Hope this helps |
