Trying to find information on a six wheeled mobile crane marketed by Walker England 1947 - 1955, The crane was developed from a protypye developed by Pagefield in the 1930s. Such a vehicle was in service with British Railways after 1948 using the fleet reference number A/C27. A photograph of this vehicle appears in Denis Miller's book, The Illustrated Encyclopeadia of Trucks and Buses published by New Burlington books as ISBN 0 948872 98 5 on page 40 of the 1987 reprint as photograph N0.2 but has been wrongly captioned. Photos and other data sought. |
