You're not going to get a reliable source stating anything on the
record, but the rumor mill says substance abuse of some kind.

P.J. Corkery of the SF Examiner says "The talk around the Radio Alice
shack (very high-level talk) Vinnie was sent on "a health retreat"
after he became
so exuberant at a recent station party that he ended up flat on his
face on the floor. There are witnesses."

Hi Julia!

KLLC has printed a short statement on their website to mention that Vinnie's
departure is for personal reasons. http://www.radioalice.com/radioalice.shtml

Interestingly enough, CourtTV.com reported that KLLC-FM was recently dismissed
from a slander lawsuit initiated by a comment Vinnie made about the a former
contestant on the FOX television show "Who Wants To Marry a Multimillionaire".
Earlier this week, the case was dismissed.

Maybe the truth will surface in the future.

Julia,

According to this article in the Contra Costa Times:
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/bayarea/entertainment/3120175.htm

The station claims that Vinnie left for "personal reasons," but the article
makes note of a second possible reason.

"Crackhorn's frequent absences from station's morning show began early this
year and prompted rumors suggesting everything from a wacky publicity stunt to
stalled contract negotiations to a personal crisis on Crackhorn's part.
Crackhorn later went on a leave of absence, the station said, but had returned
recently. Then last week, there were more missed shows that, at least in the
way the station was portraying it on-air, caught Crackhorn's co-workers by
surprise."
and the program director's attitute certainly seems to back this up.
"Nothing is as consistent as change," said Alice program director John Peake in
a statement released Monday. "And change is always difficult; however, Sarah
has always been the backbone of the show, so it will be business as usual."
Except for Vinnie."

Regards,
Cindy
