According to Chuck Hendsch, president of the 3,000 member worldwide
National Professional Paintball League, there are an estimated 2,000
paintball fields across the country as a result of the sport's growing
popularity.
From a recent article in the Cincinnati Weekly published on January 28, 2004:
?In 2002, nearly 9 million Americans played at least one game of
paintball, the third most popular extreme sport in the country,
according to the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association of America.
Hendsch, president of the 3,000 member worldwide National Professional
