I recently read an offhand mention that Stalin was considering
surrendering to the Germans in '42. But there was no citation, no more
information. I presume this is either before Stalingrad, or while the
counteroffensive was faltering. My question: was Stalin considering
surrendering to the Germans in mid-late 1942? If so--during what exact
dates, who was involved, and where can I find more information (in
English)? Thanks.
