Pattio,
While it seems that cold, damp weather may be causing your joint pain,
all of the research that I have done shows that there is no link
between weather and joint pain flare-ups.

I hope that you find these sites helpful.
However, since there is also no evidence to negate the theory that
weather affects joint pain, I would suggest moving to south Florida.
There you will find the warmest weather and have the most
opportunities to live near the water.
I live in Tampa so I can give you a first hand testimony on the
weather. This past year it was nearly 75 degrees a few days after
Christmas. It hardly ever get colder than 55 during the day in the
"winter" and this past year there were hardly any nights that
experienced freezing conditions. As for being near the beach, in
Florida you ahve many options. In the Tampa area, you could live in
the Westshore area which is "downtown" Tampa. You will get the best of
a big city feeling with the bay in your view. Or if you like the small
town setting, you could live in Clearwater or St. Petersburg. Both
cities known for their beaches, especially by vacationers.
Florida does have a rainy season which starts in the summer. It tends
to rain late in the day. So even though there is rain, it is at least
relatively warmer.
However, if you don't want rain, I'm not sure that anywhere in the
southeast would be suitable for you. Warm and dry weather is found in
the western part of the US where there is more of a desert/canyon
setting.
Let me know if I can be more thorough or answer anymore of your
questions about Florida.
