Question ID: 328550
I need news sources for the internet and wireless industry in South
Korea. My aim is to read these and thus have an up to date, ongoing
understanding of the latest developments, product launches, who the
players are, etc. They must cover local companies as well as the
globals (MSN, Yahoo, Google).

The sources must be English language. I would like something like 5-10
website (eg news sites) and around 5 blogs.

Thank you.

I'm not entirely clear what you're looking for.

There are many news sources that focus their attention on Korea.
There are many others that focus attention on telecommunications.
There's only one that I know of -- The Electronic Times of Korea --
that focuses on both, and that reports in English.

While I can certainly send you to individual sites like The Korea
Herald, these sources are already all well-collated by several types
of services.

The most comprehensive coverage of these types of reports is found in
fee-based news sources, like Lexis-Nexis, or Factiva. For instance, a
search on Factiva that looked for the term "wireless" in news from
south Korea turned up the following for the past few days:

The absolute best free news feed in my opinion is Google News. It's
perhaps not as comprehensive as a service like Factiva, but as you can
see from these results below, it is quite up to the minute, and covers
a somewhat different mix of sources:

Obviously, similar searches can be done for other terms such as
"internet", "cellular", broadband", "mobile phone", and so on. In
fact, you can automate searches and have Google News or other service
send you emails when new articles appear on your topic.

I'm not clear if you are familiar with these services already, and are
looking for something that can "dig" beyond them (if so, I don't think
I'd be able to answer your question).

Or perhaps these types of services themselves would meet your needs.

Please let me know how we can best help you out.

Thanks.

Thank you. I already have Factiva, but somehow it doesnt seem
comprehensive enough. Maybe I need to think about the terms of the
question some more.

Thank you.
