need info - John B. Porter married in or near belfast, ireland about 1744 emigrated to the colony of virignia, then prince edward nco. john porter was born in scotland and possibly his wife - polly or mary anthony - class chotch-irish he was a planter, slave holder and of some prominence in the early colonial times he first four sons - john, oliver, nathaniel,william were revolutionary war veterans and fought under marion throughout the war Captain william porter was one of marion's officers and received a wound at Cowpens - can you give me more info? | |

i really dob't kinow anything about porter expect he is my great, great, great grandfather - any information, of course, would be helpful. |
