Dear maggieman-ga

One of the places where you can find the information you are looking
for is:

Enterprise Florida website
http://www.eflorida.com

Enterprise Florida "...is a partnership between Florida's government
and business leaders and is the principal economic development
organization for the State of Florida."

To look for the business information, click on the "Facts and Figures"
button at the top menu and then on the "Info Center" link. This will
take you to this page: http://www.eflorida.com/infocenter.html where
you can find the "Florida Company Lists" menu(5th on the list). If you
select the "Home Page" option on this menu, you will find the
following information:

- Florida companies on Forbes' List of the Super 500 companies in the
U.S.
- Florida companies on Forbes' List of the 200 Best Small companies in
the U.S. 2001
- Florida companies on Inc. Magazine's List of the 500 Fastest Growing
Private companies in America, 2001
- Fortune 500 Firms headquartered in Florida, 2002
- Fortune 100 Fastest Growing Companies Headquartered in Florida, 2001
- Top 100 Publicly Traded Companies (ranked by market capitalization)
- Deloitte & Touche, Technology Fast 500, 2001
- Listing of Foreign Affiliated Companies.
- Florida Trend: "...annual list of the top 250 companies by revenue.
You can also sort their list by number of employees, income, and city.
Registration is free, but required to view the list". This option lets
you find the particular businesses in the region you are interested,
South Florida, although they may charge you a fee to see the listings.

Also, please note that if you select the "International Trade and
Investment" menu at:

Enterprise Florida Infocenter
http://www.eflorida.com/infocenter.html

you will be able to see detailed statistics on the foreign companies
operating in Florida by country of affiliation among other data you
may find useful.
