Hi gserch,

The references I have located in which Bill Clinton uses "If I were
Joe Six-Pack..." are in interviews with various news magazines. For
example, this one is taken from an interview with Time Magazine on
April 6, 1998:

"Clinton, in an interview in the Time magazine edition on newsstands
today, said the end of the Jones case helps not only him but the
United States.
"If I were just a private citizen, Joe Six-Pack, I would have mixed
feelings about not getting a chance to disprove these allegations in
court," Clinton told Time. But he added: "I don't have mixed feelings
as president, because having the case dismissed and putting this
behind us is plainly in the best interest of the country."..."

Unfortunately, I have not located any clip in which he uses that reference.

Hopefully another researcher will have better luck.

Regards,
Rainbow~
