hosh-ga:

Can you clarify your question for me? I am confused by your addition
of "along the line of latitude of Montreal, Canada" to your question.
As you most likely know, Canada is an extremely wide country, and all
of the weather characteristics you are asking for are influenced more
by the specific location of Montreal, rather than the line of latitude
that happens to pass through the city. If you can explain why you have
included this additional requirement, it would really help.

Thanks,

aht-ga

Hi hosh,

Here you go -

MONTREAL, CANADA:
Montreal/Dorval Airport: Latitude: 45.28N Longitude: 073.45W

1) Seasonal highs and lows:
   http://montreal.rezrez.com/whattoexpect/weatherstats/index.htm

2) What is the prevailing wind direction:
   West to East.

Why do weather patterns in USA usually travel from West to East?
"Weather patterns in the USA (and Canada, too) usually travel from
west to east because the prevailing winds in the atmosphere in the
middle latitudes blow from west to east. These winds transport areas
of high and low pressure, which cause the weather."
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/inter/ask/ask9.htm

3) What is the approximate distance from the closest coast [at
Latitude 45] and the direction of that coast relative to montreal?
Atlantic Ocean, New Harbour/Canso, Nova Scotia: about 750 miles
East of Montreal.

"Montreal and the eastern Ottawa valley are on the fringe of a storm
track that draws powerful storms from the Atlantic seaboard to the
north towards the US northeast. Montreal and Ottawa are often on the
back side of these systems, where the air is quite cold, and can see
significant snowfall. Toronto is just far enough to the west, that it
frequently misses the snowfall from these United States East Coast
systems (sometimes called noreasters), whereas areas in eastern
Ontario and southern Quebec see snow."
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/inter/ask/ask9.htm

4) Whats the appropiate distance from the closest mountain [at
Latitude 45] and the direction of that mountain to montreal,Canada?
Mont Royal, Montreal: city center, no distance

Mont Royal, Montreal, 233 metres:
