During what time frame are the most people on eBay?

Please state the day of the week and hour most people visit eBay.com .
Also where you obtained the information.

This will help me determe when my auctions should close.

My own experience as well as my Internet Research confirm what
Probonopublico has written, but also adds some information and
reservations to it:

"The best times for your auction to end are evenings, and the best
days are on the weekend. These are the times and days that most people
are on eBay."

A bit of a different advice, but again - evenings and weekends
(although also weekdays, at the beginning of the week): "Reward me the
most (we're talking high rate of bidding frenzy here) when I end my
auctions on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings, between 8:30 pm -
11:30 pm (PST). I can TELL you that, but you should not assume that
What I sell, Who specifically buys from me, and How I sell it is in
any way, shape, or form is like what you'd do. Bottom line, unless you
are my exact clone, NEVER assume MY window and BEST time to sell on
Ebay is going to get the Same Results for you!"

some things actually sell better during daytime, week-time.

Thank you for your information politicalguru-ga, it is very
interesting and informative.

I would like to comment that I read a good article from the Wall
Street Journal on Behavioral economics.  The article entitled "How Do
You Keep
The Public Shopping? Just Make People Sad" (By Sharon Begley;March 19,
2004; Page B1)  The article discusses how emotions can affect economic
transactions.
It suggested sad people might buy something (perhaps at a higher
price) to change how they feel.

Dear Sa4shire, 

Thank you for the interesting comment. Naturally, it is a whole
different subject, nto entirely related to this question. However, the
psychology of shopping goes both ways in my opinion. I'll give you an
example from a non-eBay related area: most diet advisors recommend not
to go to the supermarket if you're hungry, because you'll end up
buying a dozen things you don't need.

I don't know but I would suggest that if your auctions were to end at
a weekend during the hours when most folk (country-wide) were up and
about then this should be the optimum.
