This will be very hard at best even if you do get a site.

I don't know the whole story behind your quest. Not every problem
could be solved by a website: as Xeno said, let's assume that there is
such a website, you typed in "Harry" and found the thousands of Harrys
in Sacramento. What's next? Would you call each one?

However, it is not uncommon that people are looking for someone, only
with their first name known. A solution could be to publish a personal
ad in a local newspaper (or, if you have enough money - TV or radio
station). If this person wants to be found, they'll find you back.

I would go to
http://info.yellowpages.com/asp/partner/whitepages/findperson.asp

put in the first name,
then for the last name, put "A" and click the begins with button.
do the same for "B", "C"...etc. Not the most efficient, by you'll
only have to do it 26 times!

I think you should be able to find all first names within a given zip
code, city or other "if registered". This should be followed by a
first letter of a last name etc... I am not aware of this type of
site as yet but have an interest.
