dirkjan-ga:
The StickOnSCapsSSK font is a product of the Southern Software, Inc.
font foundry. Their fonts are available for both Macs and PCs, through
their website.
Here is a link to a PDF file from a printing company that features the
specific font name "StickOnSCapsSSK":
L&E Meridian Font Library - S
http://www.l-e.com/PDFS/S_ttf.pdf
(see the fifth page, left-column)
Now, here is the 'current' catalog from SSi (current meaning last updated in 1999):
http://www.ssifonts.com/SSIVOL13.PDF
where, on page 5, you will see the StickOnSCapSSi font.
The entire 2,120 font collection from SSi was advertised for a
one-time price of $29.95 on their website at:
http://www.ssifonts.com/ordfrm.htm
DO NOT USE THIS UNSECURE ORDER FORM. If you wish to order from SSi,
you are best advised to use their 1-888-625-3607 telephone order line.
Alternatively, you will notice that, in the SSi catalog, the name
"Steelplate" appears under the "StickOnSCapsSSi" font name.
"Steelplate" is the name of the original font that SSi based the
design of "StickOnSCapsSSi" on.
"Steelplate Gothic RR" is available through the link here on MyFonts.com:
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/redrooster/steelplate-gothic-rr/
However, the price is $45 for this single font. You can confirm that
this is the correct font using the MyFonts.com 'test drive' feature:
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/redrooster/steelplate-gothic-rr/shaded/testdrive.html
A more expensive option is through Agfa's Fonts.com website:
http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.asp?pid=408767
This is the supposed 'official' version of Steelplate, and is also the
most expensive. Because this font is commercially available from Agfa,
any online version that you may come across online when searching, for
example, for "True Type Font Steelplate Gothic download" is most
likely posted in violation of the Agfa end-user license; downloading
and using such a font posted online would therefore be questionable as
far as legality goes. If you are requiring this font for business
purposes, therefore, I suggest that you purchase the Agfa version (or
one of the less expensive versions) to avoid any problems.
I hope that this information proves useful to you. If you require any
clarification to this Answer, please let me know using the Request
