I have a piece of art that was painted by C.M. Moore and my question
is as follows. Can you tell me where this artist was from and about
how many still lifes he painted and if there is any value to his oil
paintings. The Painting I have is posted at www.villagephotos.com. Is
it the real deal?

painting is C.M. Moore's:

With the help of your clarification on the 'Cows Hanging Out'
question, I was able to identify this as the painting you are
referring to in this current question:

Has this painting also been in your family for a long time?

The picture is 077 and if you zoom in on the painting you can see his
name and the date he painted it.

I resolved the issue with the other question and the cows aren't
hangin out any more

After considerable research, I must say that I'm sorry to report
I was unable to locate anything about an artist named C.M. Moore.

Perhaps another researcher, or an art dealer specializing in
19th century art, will be able to assist you further in this.
