Dear Scriptor,
A Painting I have was done by an artist named A Borboni Foresman or
Faresman the signature is difficult to tell. My question is as
follows. What year or between which years could he have painted this
piece which is posted at villagephotos.com and where and when was he
born ? Do you think its origianl or a copy. I think its real and its
in my collection.......

Dear buttonboy,
I have examined the picture you provided (
http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpubimage.asp?id_=8487642 ), and I
will see what I can find out. Maybe you could post a large photo of
the signature? It could prove helpful, since I must admit that I have
not found anything useful so far.
Best regards,

Dear buttonboy,
Frankly, this question is harder than I thought. I have spent hours in
the library, searching for this painter in several extensive art
enyclopedias. Not even the 36-volume edition of the Saur art lexicon,
which includes even obscure artists, knows an A. Borboni Foresman or
similar.
I have failed, I'm afraid. But I hope that one of my colleagues can do
better than I did.

Dear buttonboy,
I have read your latest comment here:
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=328576
Your offer is very generous. May I propose a simple solution? I would
just take this question as the tip you would like to give me. I would
of course feel better if I had found something about the painter A.
Borboni Foresman so I could provide a real answer or at least valuable
information. But that artist seems to have disappeared in the mists of
obscurity.
So if you think that posting a "symbolic answer" here would fulfill
the same purpose as a tip, please let me know.
Best regards,
Scriptor

Dear buttonboy,
My friend and colleague sublime1-ga has just managed to equally divide
the tip you gave. I would like to express my gratitude and offer you
my earnest apologies since I have not been able to find anything on
the mysterious A. Borboni Foresman. But I really hope that one of my
colleagues will do better than I did.
Very best regards,
