I have a work problem that none of us here can solve. We have found
the membrane force equations for an open semicircular channel filled
with a liquid fixed at both ends (approximates to our application).
These don't intuitively make sense; we also cannot get the derivation
to work out? Can someone please derive the equations for N (theta), N
(x theta), and N (x) so that we can make sense of them?
