Instead of a snap with 1 male side & a cap, I am looking for a snap
that has two male (or two female) sides. I have a reversible garment
and I need to set the snaps after the two fabrics are sewn together. I
need the same part of the snap to face out on both sides.

I'm not much of a snapologist, but I believe you can pretty easily
make your own by combining two male or two female parts on either side
of a two-post stud.

For instance, have a look at the snappy parts here:

http://www.zabin.com/specfast.html

With stud #90-16358, couldn't you just attach parts of your choosing
to either end? Perhaps if you contact Zabin, they could confirm this.

Anyway, let me know if this is on the right track, or if you're after
something very different.

Thanks.

Not really. You need a cap to hold the post (male end) or socket
(female end) in place. You can't attach a post to a post back to back
from those parts.

Like I said...I'm not much of a snapologist!

Hope someone comes up with a solution for you.

Maybe my snap-sense isn't so lacking after all.

I emailed the folks at "The Snap Source" for some advice, and this is their reply:

"We do sell all of our snap components separately, so you can put
either a socket or stud with the cap or ring. Feel free to give us a
call at 800-725-4600 for more information..."

You can find them on the web at:

http://www.snapsource.com/

and their email is:

snaps@snapsource.com

==========

I gave them your question verbatim, and I have to figure that they're
the experts! Let me know if their reply helps at all.

I had actually already spoken to Sandy Langdorf at The Snap Source;
I'm surprised she hadn't mentioned it? While you can attach either
piece to a cap, it does not make the snap double sided.
