I am looking for an old copy (1936) of Bertini Piano Method.
It is a piano teaching book by Bertini. It is out of print as far as I know.

Clarification of Question by cajundot-ga on 15 Apr 2004 18:51 PDT
I really don't have any other information. A friend (74 yrs of age)
was taught piano by this method, by her mother. She claims it is the
best method to teach.
If you tell me what clarification you need, maybe I can get the
information from her. She has one OLD copy, and I was hoping to get
one for myself, and other students.
She said it was 1936 to about 1940 the book was around??
Tell me what you need and I will try to get it for you.
Thank You

Hi cajundot!

Well, I've found 2 books that MIGHT fit your request:

   25 Easy Studies, Op. 100
   Published by: G. Schirmer, Inc.
   Arranged by: Max Vogrich.
   Composed by: Henri Bertini.
   Piano Technique. Width: 9" Length: 12" - 36 pages

   24 Studies, Op. 29
   Published by: G. Schirmer, Inc.
   Arranged by: Giuseppe Buonamici.
   Composed by: Henri Bertini.
   Piano Technique. Width: 9" Length: 12" - 36 pages

However I have no idea about the year of publication of this
material. Anyway, you can reach it at:

http://www.stagepass.com/groupartist/artist_items.hperl?Artist=Bertini%2C+Henri

Another place where you might find Bertini's Method:

   http://www.sheet-music-scores.com/bertini.php

I think some important information you left behind that could be
useful are the exact title of the book (especially if it is in
italian!), the Publisher and the number of pages, considering you have
a copy of the material. I think it won't be too difficult for you to
find what you are looking for.

   Good luck on your research!!

The lady that asked me to check the internet for the books is in New Mexico.
She is the one that has the information, and I believe an old copy.
She will be back next Thursday I was told (4/22) and I can get the
information you wanted. I apologize for not having sufficient
infomation, but that was all she gave me, and I couldn't find anything
with just the name.
Surely one of these is the book she is looking for. And I'm sure it
is in English, since she doesn't speak Italian. Don't search any
further until I can get in touch with her. Thank you so much for your
help. I will get back to let you know if you found the book she
wanted.

In addition to the site that my colleague pinkfreud-ga referenced in
her comment, it is also possible to find rare, out-of-print
publications through ABEBooks.com:

http://www.abebooks.com/

If you are able to identify the book, then Advance Book Exchange,
which represents independent used-book sellers located around the
world, can be a useful resource to find a place to buy the book.
