Question ID: 331064
i recently cracked a lense on my favorite pair of sunglasses.

i sent them in to be repaired, only to be informed that they have been
discontinued and no parts were available. i checked with a second
authorized repair company and found the same results. i also keep an
eye on ebay for a used pair. but so far, no luck.

i need to find a resource to have the lense replaced with an 'original
equipment' one.

info on the sunglasses:
manufacturer: revo
style number: 1107/001
lense: blue/reflective

i would also accept it as an answer if a reseacher could identify a
source for a new pair vs. repairing my broken pair. qualification for
the source would be: 1) have the pair in stock (1107/001 w/blue
reflective lense); 2) accept major credit cards; 3) be able to ship to
address in the U.S.; and 4) available via web or telephone.

again, the style is discontinued. but i have to believe there is a
pair out there somewhere...

Let?s say that these Revo Mad Wrap (1013/001) sunglasses have served
me well for about 4 years. Recently the hinge that holds the right
arm to the frame broke. I?ve been looking for Revo parts or a repair
facility. As of 4/04 Revo?s website concerning product support for
replacement is useless. I used Goggle to locate the kind folks at
Ocean City Vision Center, 752 Asbury Avenue Ocean City, NJ 08226,
(609) 391-2121. http://www.bfootlens.com is an Authorized Revo Repair
Center. They advised me that Revo no longer makes parts available for
older model sunglasses. (revorepair@bfootlens.com)

The thing to do: Either spend an ass load of cash for Revo Mad Wrap
H20 or purchase a pair of lower cost similarly styled Ray Ban
sunglasses. These busted Mad Wrap?s go on eBay for parts.

jordoco,
Let me know (by posting a reply to this comment) when you
will put your Revos on ebay - I would like to get that left hinge from
you, thanks.
