Hello Genius out there! I am Dona and am usually guite good at solving problems but this one has stumped me! I have a gorgeous fake geranium potted plant and have it sitting on my deck in between two gorgeous lounge chairs. It just so happens that this area on my deck gets lots and lots of wind, so every plant that I have placed out there has been blown over and the pot broken into many little pieces! Now I have this lifelike geranium and it is very light weigght! There must be someone out there who can tell me how to get this light weight pot to stay put on my porch! Now we are not talking about a hurricane wind we are just talking about naturals winds because we leave about 2 miles from the ocean. I will glady pay $10.00 for your solution to my problem! Thanks Bunches! Dona P Forehand I have tried several things but with no success! HELP ME IF YOU CAN! |

How about drilling several holes in the bottom of the pot and screwing it down to the deck. |

Greetings SillyDuck: Use two pots. In a large, decorative pot, deposit sand or small rocks/pebbles in a bag at the bottom. Then place the smaller pot (with the plant) inside the larger one. Best regards, journalist-ga |

Go to a pottery supply store and buy some "wet" clay, it usually comes in the size of a brick, cut pieces off, and stuff it in the pot. Then take some decorative moss and stick it in the clay (fasten with hair pins), it will look nice... then stick your geranium in the clay. It will take a long time for the clay to dry and even when it does, it is heavy enough to keep that pesky pot upright. This solution will leave no mess in case your pot SHOULD flip over Good luck Anne |
