You'll have to move to Gary, Indiana...that's the only place it's taught. In the meantime, though, have you thought of taking up a hobby. Perhaps...POOL! |

Many thanks, Paf Gary, Indiana? Never heard of the place. And, as for taking up a hobby, your suggestion sounds to me like Trouble, with a capital 'T', and that rhymes with 'P' and that stands for 'pool'. |

If you're hanging around with Professor Harold Hill, watch out for Marian the Librarian. She's a sadder but wiser girl. Or maybe a lager Budweiser girl. Something like that. |

Many thanks for the tip, Pink. If, as you say, this Marian is a Librarian, then the chances are that she's moonlighting as one of our esteemed researchers. I wonder what 'handle' she is using? Please see if you can find out - I already have my suspicions. |

Aha ... Just as I suspected ... Luciaphile is a librarian! Luciaphile, please tell me ... 1: Has your library ever been taken over by a troup of dancers? 2: Do you 'give piano'? 3: Have you a kid brother who lisps? 4: Aren't you supposed to be working? 5: How do you get away with it? Curious |

To answer your questions in order: 1. Alas, no. Although some of my colleagues are prone to sing at times, particularly those annoying little ditties found from exciting internet sites (have one stuck in my head right now too). 2. I used to be able to play chopsticks. Does that count? 3: Well, I've got a younger brother, but he does not have, nor has he ever had a speech impediment (although he too is prone to sing those annoying little internet tunes). 4: I'm off the clock at the moment at my library job, but since I do answer questions for GA on the side, it can be argued that I'm actually working right now! 5: Get away with what? Heh. Regards, luciaphile-ga |

Many thanks, Luciaphile, for your confession. It may, of course, be used as evidence against you. |
