Question ID: 331438
Where can I buy a stainless steel pot rack for my kitchen in the
Dallas-Ft.Worth area? The pot rack needs to be stainless steel or
pewter and it must not have lighting in/on it. I would like to buy it
from a brick-and-mortar store where I can physically go see it before
buying it. Preferably, i don't want to spend more than $800. Please
list as many places as you find. thanks

Howdy flip08-ga,

As you probably know, not an easy find. Working from least
to the most expensive, here are places you can go, look and
buy stainless steel ceiling pot racks. I have provided web
links so you can do a preliminary viewing.

Dillard's - has the following at least in their Valley View
Center Store.
http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=500468954

The Main Ingredients Stainless Steel Dual Pot Rack

Macy's - has the following in the store listed below.

Your best bet for the high quality ceiling pot racks are
the ones made by Enclume. I was unable to locate a place
where you could see the stainless steel versions of their
pot racks, but Williams-Sonoma, Inc. can get Enclume pot
racks, and some of the hammered steel versions can be seen
at the two locations listed below.

One of the styles available can be viewed on their web site.

If the above link doesn't work, just place the item number
of 58-1275437 in the "SEARCH" box in the upper right hand
corner at their main web page, and click on the "GO" button.

"Available in hammered steel or brushed stainless steel, the
commercial-quality rack is handcrafted using traditional
French metal-forming equipment." 58-1275437 $726.00

Plano

Sur La Table can also order Enclume racks, so you might want
to see the products at Williams-Sonoma and then compare prices
with Sur La Table.

Sur La Table
4527 Travis Street
Dallas, TX 75205

If you want to go with quality, go with Enclume. Even though
there does not appear to be anywhere in your area where you
can see the stainless steel versions, here are the models they
produce in stainless steel. More information can be found on
their web site. The pictures and descriptions are hopefully
good enough to tell you if they would be right for you.

Both Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table have Enclume catalogs
that you can look through as well.

Search Strategy:

Used various "yellow page" lookups, such as AT&T and SuperPages.

Called various stores in the Dallas area.

Also went by personal experience of "high end" stores that carry
quality cookware.
