Hello mrjgraham2u-ga:

It was a pleasure answering your question. I have selected five great
family resorts that will fulfill all of the requirements that you
desire. Four of them are located in the Rockies while the other one is
in Tahoe. I have provided a brief description of each resort. Please
read the details that I have provided as they will allow you to
pre-scan the resorts before getting more information from their
websites.

I have found their website to be very extensive. You can take this
report as a summary and than go to the website for more information.
If you are still unclear about anything, just clarify because we are
here to answer your concerns and make your vacation more enjoyable.

NOTE! The accommodations that I have listed have washer/dryer and
kitchenette facilities. The ski lesson plan information is for
beginners and all of these resorts provide accommodations that have

Two areas in the west renowed for being great for families and
beginning and intermediate skiers, and for providing top instruction
are Aspen -- particularly BUTTERMILK MOUNTAIN and/or SNOWMASS, and
DEER VALLEY near Park City, Utah. They have everything you could
want and both have good websites and all kinds of lodging choices.

The only thing you should be aware of is that these resorts generally
close for the year around April 4th, so you'll be skiing toward the
end of the season, when the conditions could be slushy if it's too
warm and there might not be any new snow. You never know.
