Hello, I found a how-to to install qmail on *nix systems (linked below) specifically mentioning that it works under Solaris 8 (they give a Solaris 7 warning but you can ignore that). It's pretty straight forward and provides exact system commands to run in order to step-by-step your way through the installation with complete URL links to the various binaries you will need in order to compile/install qmail.
