Howdy rmassote-ga,

You will need a program, such as Word or WordPad to view the original of some
of the following references.

From the Ivy Tech State College web site, a summary of a chapter on "Computer
Architecture."

"Numeric Data: refers to numbers that represent quantities and that might be
used in an arithmetic operation.

Character Data:	refers to letters, symbols and numerals that will not be used
in arithmetic operations."

From this "Ask Dr. Math" web page, there is the definition of "numerals" from
the Harcourt "Academic Press Dictionary of Science and Technology."
