Question ID: 332677
How can I take a mouse for a PC and make it work upside down? To
clarify, I want a movement to the right to be interpreted as left, and
a movement up to be interpreted as down. So if I turned the monitor
upside-down, then the mouse would appear to work normally.
Software and/or hardware alteration solutions are acceptable, as long
as it can be done simply (i.e cut some wires, resolder them).

Hi Tpmeyer!

I found a simple program that will reverse the direction of your mouse.

?This small program which works on any Windows operating system
reverses the direction of your mouse?

?It is only possible to cancel the effect by using cntrl-alt-delete to
reach the windows task list, selecting the utility from the list and
clicking "end task". But for this whole process you have to use the
reverse mouse technique.?

Dear tpmeyer,

"To clarify, I want a movement to the right to be interpreted as left, and
a movement up to be interpreted as down. So if I turned the monitor
upside-down, then the mouse would appear to work normally.
Software and/or hardware alteration solutions are acceptable, as long

Have you installed the program?

It appears to do exactly what you require.

When the mouse is moved to the right it is interpreted as left, and
when the mouse is moved upwards it is interpreted as down. When the is
moved to the left it is interpreted as right , and when the mouse is
moved downwards it is interpreted as upwards.

If you turn the monitor upside-down the mouse would appear to work normally.

Could you please clarify why this is not what you asked for.

Sincerely,
Bobbie7

The description said it reversed left-right, but not up-down. After
reading your message, I installed the program, and contrary to it's
description it does indeed do what I desire. So thanks! And sorry
for the confusion.
