I am using Minolta dimage 7hi. It lets me put the date in the photos
but I do not like the position, format, font etc. I would like to turn
this off and, instead, to us the exif file in order to add the date.
I need flaxibility where to print the date, font, size etc. In
addition, I would like to actually add the info into the photo and not
to see it only in the print.
Last - I would like to be able to do it for several photos together
and not to each one separatly.
How / which software can do it?

You should be using photoshop.
I'll get back to you on this ... i'll try it out myself here first. Cheers!

There are many ways to "skin" this cat. :)

One way is to use photoshop. First, create an action. While
creating the action, record the processing of adding a transparent
layer with date info and adjust it. Stop the recording.
Secondly, create a batch job of the action just created. Batch job
will automatically redo the layer with date info for you.

You can use photoshop version 6, 7, or CS to do this.

Have fun. :)

Thanks.
Actually I found meantime a very easy way to do it: With a small
software which called DCE AutoEnhance which can be found here:
http://www.mediachance.com/dce/
With this software you can define the place to put the date, with
unlimited positions, fonts, color etc. It uses the METADATE created by
the camera automatically and can put the date on one, several or all
photos in a folder.
