internet, what is de inportance of gifs and jpgs on advertising and
maybe web creations.

Is this for a class on web design?
I would have to say this, GIFS allowed for animated banners and such,
and JPGS allow for high quality pictures to be displayed, however
bearing in mind that GIFS display solid blocks of color better. But
Gifs aided greatly in the development of dynamic banner ads.
