I am a white minister on staff at an African-American church in Birmingham, AL. The church is 120 years old and has rich history in the city. I consider it a privilege to be serving in this capacity. I would like to document my experience here and possibly write a book in hopes of improving race relations in the future. However, my wife is pregnant with our second child and is not currently working. I am very busy here at the church because we are a large church with a rather small staff. I am about to take a second job to help with expenses from our new child. I would like to know if there are any grants or programs available to someone in my position. I am specifically looking for information concerning funding for cross-cultural research and improving race-relations. I am very busy here and have very little time for research. Can you help? |
