accept new recruits over the age of 34:

"To enlist as an active-duty Soldier in the U.S. Army you must be:

I too admire your ambition.  However, you might try volunteer work
with army relief fund, local bases, etc.  Alternatively, you could

If you want to pursue a specialized education, physicians can enlist
up to age 47. Chaplins can enlist up to age 40, but there is an
exception for Roman Catholic Priests who can enlist up to age 50.
