I am an undergraduate student in an Art History class and for our final we have to analyze a mystery image. I have talked to everyone in the art department at my school and although a few people are familiar with it I can't find an answer as to what this image is. I would appreciate anyone who can identify the image. * The painting is a portrait of an old man and is very much in the style of the portraiture of Rembrandt or Hals. The old man is wearing glasses and his head is wrapped in a blue and white turbanesque headdress. He is also wearing a pink scarf. The colors are muted and the barkground is dark. * If anyone can identify this painting, especially title and artist that would be awesome. Thanks. Tim |
