I'm considering a move to Buenos Aires - but I haven't been there
since before the economic crisis in Argentina.  I'd like to hear from
someone who's spent some time there (or, barring that, a few good
links).  Just some practical information:  What should I expect to pay
for an apartment?  What types of crime (if any) are prevalent?  What's
the current attitude towards foreigners (I'm American and would be
moving with a Swede)?  Also, is it possible/easy to find work teaching
English as a second language?

OK- that's good information regarding the apartments.  Do you think
you could get me some current apartment finder websites & listings? 
Re: those areas you mentioned (Recoleta, Barrio Norte, Palermo and
Belgrano) - Where, exactly, are they?  I can't seem to find a map of
Buenos Aires which shows their location.

Perhaps you could address the second parts of my question by simply
giving me your opinion:
