Can you help locate what I'm told was an Harvard Business Review
article from the 1970's?? It apparently deals with Citibank, their CEO
Walter Wriston and the
simplicity of the METRICS that he established where something like
only 150 metrics were necessary for the whole organization. TIA Baz

Hi Baz,

Until the mid-'70s, Citibank was known as "First National City Bank."

Harvard Business Online sells some cases from 1974 about "First
National City Bank."

Could this be what you want?

I don't believe that is the article since it doesn't substantially
deal with metrics/performance measurement nor does it mention Wriston.

I bought it though and did read it. Its focus is on reorganization
around processes and John Reed & Bob White. It does make reference to
measurement though I suspect Wriston's initiative(s) were after this.
